Waking up every morning and coughing out mucus.?

Question:
every morning when i wake up i have mucus stuck in my throat and i end up coughing it out sometimes making my self throw up to clear it out. every morning! why?

and sometimes when i throw up its more like neon yellow spit/acid. normal?

Answers:
Yes, it's normal. I get the same thing. I brush my teeth, and I use the toothpaste to help me spit out the phlem. Sometimes it's a bigger blob than other times.

I almost throw up, when I try too hard to spit it out.

At night, we're sleeping, so we're unable to blow or clean our nose. Therefore, all that mucus accumulates, and is ready to come out in the morning.
If you are a non smoker I would tend to think you have post nasal drip. That tends to drip down when you a sleeping and clog up in your throat. A good decongestent before bed may help remedy that, or could be a sinus infection, or alergies all cause post nasal drip.
do u smoke?? allergies?? somethng more serious like cancer or emphyzema?? acid reflux??
I have the same issue as well. I assume it is post nasal drip. I guess I should go to the Dr and find out.
