bronchitis is a catch all term for anything causing inflammatory response of the airway. that can be from fumes, to asthma, to infection, to disease. the symptomology is mostly the same, and with different levels of affect: chronic cough, sore airway, sore chest, gooey stuff, sometimes blood, wheezing, and shortness of breath. there are two classifications, acute and chronic. to be chronic you have to have certain medical evidence for at least three months out of a year.
Bronchitis is an inflammation of the airways and is typically the result of a viral or bacterial infection. People with medical conditions especially lung disease are more susceptible in getting it.
