What is the chances of a 15 y/o having systemic kidney disease from type 2 diabetes?

Question:
its supposed to rare, considering it takes many years for the high glucose to effect the body ,

Answers:
Hundreds of thousands of kids now, mostly caused by obesity, have type 2 diabetes. By kids I mean 13 and under.
i am not sure of the chances
but its not really likely to happen to a 15 year old because it takes a build up and teens are usually busy and keep their bodies moving
the chances are very low. Diabetes complications take years of very poor blood sugars to cause problesm to show up. Are you sure the 15 year old is a type 2 and not a type 1? Though the cases of type 2 has risen in children due to obesity and sedentary lifestyles.
