Dent in head?

Question:
I have a dent in the back top of my head from what a doctor 10 years ago identified as just a soft spot I had as a baby . It isn't soft its hard. It seems to have gotten larger. Should I be concerned?

Answers:
The human skull has a lot of variations, bumps and bulges, dips and dents. You are just a normal varient. Have a peek at some of the odd heads out there, and you will see what I mean. All those bald babies and old men, even some of the older ladies with thin blue white hair. So in your case, the sutures of your skull closed and left a dip instead of a bump. Lucky for most of us, our odd shape skulls are covered with hair. No, you have nothing to be concerned about.
No, I've got one of those. It got hard because of the bone. It got bigger because your head got bigger.
I think you should be concerned. Go for a check up, for some assurance for your health. At least you would feel much at ease.

I have a dent at the back top of my head too because I knocked it against the bunk bed as I was getting out. It feels weird.

So go for a health check. Take care!
