Question:
my daddy has a diabetes.i like my daddy very much.i want to take care of him.we go to check up.now his sugar level is normal.but iam afraid.which foods are good for his health?how to keep control the blood sugar level.whoever knows, please help me his food habits.

Answers:
the doctor that diagnosed your daddy should say whether your daddy's diabetes is type 1 or 2, and then the doctor or clinic will give your daddy information about what kind of foods or diets he should be eating. The main thing is to check the blood sugar level to see how the foods are affecting the level. If a food is making the level shoot up, then your daddy can reduce or avoid that particular food.
Check with a registered dietician. That person can formulate a diet for your father.
Buy fresh fruits and veggies. Buy some lean meat ..such as grilled chicken or lean turkey. Buy low calorie drinks and diet sodas. Make sure he takes his medication and sees the doctor on a regular basis and he could be fine. My brother has diabetes also..and we are able to manage it. Cut out all the fast food, fried food, and sweets. Good Luck Hun!

my mom has diabetes and when she got diabetic i got scared too. try not to eat lots of sugar in front of him and get him to excercise alot. excercise makes his blood sugar go down so that when he eats it doesnt go as high.
