Can you drink alcohol when you have oesophagitis?

Question:

Answers:
You shouldn't...in fact, that's one of the causes. Drinking alcohol will only make it worse and increase your risks of an espohageal or GI bleed.
yes as long as you do not drink to much
Do not drink alcohol!
i would suppose your taking some kind of medication and if you are you do NOT drink alcohol at all it can be very dangerous
I have Barrets Oesophagus, and trust me drinking alcohol does nothing at all to help it.

So my advice, based on personal experience is don't drink alcohol.
Having said that, you're probably going to try and drink anyway cos noone ever believes it when someone else tells them not to do something, so on that basis I want to be the first to say:
I TOLD YOU SO!!
