Thirst desease?
Question:
Answers:
Hey Katie, please don't panic before you eliminate the possibility that you could possibly have a simple vitamin deficiency! Sooooo true ..... if you are deficient in vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) then you will continually be thirsty and horribly dry!! This can be corrected by simply eliminating the cause of the deficiency - often times trycyclic containing antidepressants will cause a voracious thirst which can't be quenched (happened to me) or otherwise hormone replacement therapies can also be the cause ..... there are numerous causes but these appear to be the two most common ...... just go get yourself some mega multi B tablets (Blackmores does a really good one) containing all the B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12) and supplement your diet that way. Otherwise, eat more foods rich in vitamin B6 -
Wholegrains and cereals, liver, avocado, spinach, bananas, cantaloupe, peanuts .....
Vitamin B6 will also relieve cracking of the mouth and tongue, dizziness, nausea, anemia problems..... :0)
CHEERS & GOOD LUCK
um I don't think so but it could be something wrong with your saliva glands.
Definately an good indication of possible diabetes especially if it runs in the family. Check it out ASAP!
actually diabetes has 3 clinical symptoms. polyuria (xcessive urination) polyphagia (xcessive eating) and polydipsia (xcessive drinking) . these 3 symptoms may cause health professionals to suspect diabetes but does not confirm it unless tests are done. one test if you would like to undergo is a simple blood test called glycosylated hemoglobin or HbA1c. this measures sugar in the blood for approximately 180 days. you may see a doctor for that!
