Question:
I am an 18 year old male. I have been to the doctor who prescribed Scheriproct suppositories with a local anaesthetic and also a hydrocortisone formula to shrink tissue. I also apply witch hazel on cotton balls 3 times per day. I have modified my diet to increase fiber intake. I eat high fibre cereals, drink prune juice, eat dates, have a fiber supplement (Benefibre) and a vegetarian diet. I use the bathroom on average twice per day. I don't have to strain at all. When I do use the bathroom, there is a lot of blood on the toilet paper. Why aren't they going away? It's messing my life around, I can't work properly, or sit down for long periods of time without severe pain.
Answers:
There are various options. If this low-tech treatment doesn't work, you should consult with a doctor (surgeon or proctologist) who has experience in surgical treatment or obliteration techniques.
