How do bacteria develop antibiotic resistance?
Question:
Answers:
Alot of times antibiotic resistance results from excessive amounts of antibiotics that a patient takes to fight off a infection. The bacteria becomes "more fierce". Examples: MRSA (methicillin resistant staph aureus), VRE (vancomycin resistant enterococcus)
It is mostly from people misusing antibiotics , time evoles and new strands of superbug form.
Just as in all wars, there is always at least one survivor. With bacteria its no different, except that survivor now has built a resistance, and the next generation will have that same resistance but maybe a little better. Then their next generation will have even more resistance on so on and so forth.
