Does anybody know where or how to get discounted diabetes medicine?

Question:

I am a 42 year old father of 2 that pays a lot of child support. I have recently been put in a situation where I either pay for my boys or for my meds, and since I will never let my boys down I have had to forgo my meds ( I cant afford them anymore).
If any one can help me with any info I would greatly appreciate it.

Some of the drug companies have a low or free drug assistance program. Your pharmacist may be able to help with the contact numbers or look them up on the web.

I get my medicine at Wal-Mart. They have a $4 drug policy got generics , slightly higher in some states. I get my Metformin 850 ml for $4.27 a month . Since wal-mart adopted this drug pricing my bill went way down. I was having to cut doses and not get some medications prior to that.

If you are not on a drug with a generic it can be worth getting your doctor to change to what you can afford.

You should ask the court to reduce your child support a bit to allow you the drugs you need. It wont do your kids any good if you have a stroke , go blind or those sort of things that uncontrolled diabeted can lead to.
