Mortality rate in1500BC?

Question:

Answers:
In 1500 BC, depending on where you were, you would not have had any access to health care. Famine and drought would result in villages suffering horrible death tolls. Mothers died during delivery, babies died after being born from what are simple and easily treatable problems today.

When someone contracted an STD, they had it for life. Syphilis causes demented behavior and turns your brain into apple sauce when you have it for a few decades.

Something as simple as bronchitis or pneumonia would be deadly or leave the person debilitated for long periods. Asthma had no treatment. There was no aspirin for headaches. You might have been able to chew on a piece of tree bark instead.

Sewage pits and wells were built too close together because they didn't know any better. Except for the Romans, nobody had running water, flushing toilets, or sewer systems.

Rats and mice carried plagues that wiped-out entire civilizations. People shared their homes with their livestock and consequently their general hygiene was pretty poor.

Do you get the idea? It was amazing for someone to live past 40. People were short because of malnutrition.
