Am I sick or is it allergies?

Question:
I've had a stuffy nose and a pretty mild sore throat since March... its now August. I've had allergy problems in the past but it has never lasted this long ... but then again I heard that this allergy season was going to be alot worse since we didnt get snow this past winter

Answers:
I am in the same boat. It's horrible. You could be sick even if it started with allergies. Keep an eye on the color of any nasal discharge or chest congestion you cough up. If there is any dicoloration such as brown or green, then see your doctor. You probably need an antibiotic. My allergies turned into respiratory infection. I started out this season on no meds. Now I am on Prednisone, a puffer, 2 antibiotics, and a daily allergy pill. I also had an allergy shot!
Go to the doctor.
Allergies -- go have an allergy test at an allergist's office!! They will either prescribe pills or shots to help you out.
sounds like allergies go to the doctor and get an allergy medication.
sick
Might be a combination of both.

I have allergy almost every morning where my nose gets stuffy and I start sneezing consecutively its almost comical.

But do take honey for the sore throat. Hope it gets better.
For the stuffy nose, don't blow too hard. It makes it worst.

See a doctor if it gets worst.
sounds like allergy but talk to ur docter just in case
it might be Air Conditioning - recycled air - no matter how much you change the filter - is NOT HEALTHY -

try turning off the A/C and going outside for at least 3 hours a day.

Besides - why is it all winter we complain how cold it is, and how warm we want it, but then when it gets to be summer, all we do is complain how hot it is and wish it was cooler. We have really messed up our internal structure if our bodies cannot figure this out.

Fresh Air...
most time allergies act as a cold, but a cold is a lot worse, your entire body just feels like crap...allergies just makes your head and nose all stuffy because of the sinus pressure.but i do strongly urge you to go to a doctor. good luck.
sounds like "sinusitus" i think that's how you spell it. nothing serious but u most likely have to get some antibiotics for it.
hey you've got hay fever.
thats allergies, go to a chemist & ask for hay fever
tablets.
you'll see the difference.
I also go thou this almost once or twice a year,
sometime it really gets worse.
it does sound like allergies.
If you have wake in the middle of night or first thing in the morning with cough then it is allergies and that cough is due to post nasal drip.
If you have had fever then you might be sick. A viral infection does not last over 10 days and by day 5 or so the viral infection becomes bacterial infection and giving you the fever.
I have not seen soar throat sickness lasting that long without any fever.
If you are taking some allergy medication, may be it is time to change it.
Probably allergies caused by mold/mildew or dust/pets (if any) in ur house.
