Weird thing on fingers?

Question:
i bite my nails and am trying to stop, but sometimes i bit my skin off of my fingers and then later the part turns white or something near it, and its almost like a blister, its white and if i bite it off its like flesh under it and it really hurts. is this just because i bite my nails or some other disease?

Answers:
That white 'blister' looking skin is just the body trying to quickly cover a open wound. If you let them be, the skin will eventually grow back to it's original state.
