Fasting blood sugar of 111, should I make a doctor's appt?

Question:
This is not the first time it has been like that., just concerned!!and want other peoples opinion on this!!

Answers:
What i would suggest is that you check your sugar every morning for a month. Make sure that you have not had any thing to eat or drink (including water) for at least eight hours in order to consider it as fasting. Keep track of all your result and if they results are higher than 100 more often than not then yes you may want to call the doctors. however if you see that the results are only elevated a few times in that month than no i would not call the doctor. another important factor is that even a doctor isn't going to put you on insulin or other meds unless your sugar stays 151 or higher.
111 is within the 'normal' range. Fasting blood sugar should be between 80 and 120.
That's not to unusual my blood sugar has been in the upper 114 range al this week.
Normal blood sugar is 70-120 mcg/dcl. Your sugar is fine. Although you can double check with your doctor, I see no reason for you to be concerned.

Do you think this is high or something? I will trade you my numbers for yours, cause yours is in the normal range. When it is above 120, then worry. Talk to your doctor for reassurance but he will tell you this is great.
Fasting blood sugar of 101-124 is in the pre-diabetes range.
