Answers:
I doubt you will find a tattoo artist that will ink over psoriasis. If you do, then chances are the tattoo will not heal well, and the tat will be damaged. It is unfortunate for your boyfriend.
You should definately consult a doctor / skin specialist.
Only they can be truly sure. Besides psoriasis is not a normal skin disease, it can cause inflammation to other skin & even body joints when not being treated well. Do take care.

I've known some ppl. wth this disease (not sure if it's some genetic skin disorder) but at times, they even hv to bandage their hands up & cover up with cloth whn exposed to cuts or harsh weathers or whn insect bites etc. They also hv to take medications so their skin won't turn worst. Since I'm not a medical expert, if your bf. really wants a tattoo make sure u seek a doctor & also those tools used by the tatoo artist is clean & well steriled.
Before getting a tattoo he should clear the psoriasis away with Champori Cream & Spray (at http://www.champori.com )
I have had psoriasis for many years and its gotten progressively worse. I too have wanted to get a tattoo for a long time, but I've felt it might not be such a good idea. I have a pretty large coverage area but I do have plenty of room for a tattoo in many places. Here is the problem: We never know when or where on our bodies that an outbreak will occur. Many people, such as myself, have actually seen our skin bleed in affected areas. Anytime you have lesions in your skin, you always risk infection. And from what I've been able to gather, getting a tattoo on healthy skin has resulted in infection for countless people. So I guess what I'm saying is that he should think long and hard about what could happen and definitely consult a physician before taking any action towards getting a tattoo. I hope this helps. Best of luck.
