I got bit by some fire ants - why won't the sores go away?

Question:
Some fire ants bit me pretty good a week ago and the sores are still there. Is that normal or were these just some super nasty mean little critters?

Answers:
If you ever get bite again, try putting toothpaste on it. You can try putting in on at this stage, I don't know if it will help though.
yes its normal. it will go away soon. put lotion or something on it.
That's not fire ants, it's herpies! Ask Mike Vick how he dealt with it!
I know what you mean. I got bit up pretty bad the other day. Don't pop the blisters, and they should go away. Some AfterBite on the sores should help clear them up. You can try the creams etc. but this is the only thing that works for me. Benadryl also makes a stick.
You just have to give it some time. Thats all. I got bit once and I was ice-ing my foot for about 4 days. It got completly better in a week or to though. Hope this helps!!
