Why do you have to fast for 12 hours before a blood test?

I hope all is well with you. The reason for fasting is because certain foods can interfere with the results of your blood test, sometimes, a Physician will allow a drink of water, but it's best to check with your Physician first.
because certain foods can interfere with blood test results- you can drink water or black coffee though that wont make any difference
