Can hayfever allergies actually be caused by hay?

Question:
I have a guinea pig and I let him run around on my bathroom floor. Last week my husband put hay on the ground in there and he made a mess. Now my allergies are acting up. Could they be linked?

Answers:
Yes, it can be due to the hay. Or it can also be the pet dander. You will need to isolate the cause to determine which is it.
Yeah. Hayfever is a general name for allergies to pollen. In your case, however, you're probably reacting to particulate irritants.
it could definitely be the hay or it could even be the animal dander off of the animal itslef.
It could be linked, but hay fever is a type of seasonal allergy. It is usually from pollen. There are a lot of sites you can go to get information on hay fever.
