Does Bleach really kill ringworm?

Question:
I have ringworm on my stomach, should I use bleach?

Answers:
No, no...use a topical antifungal cream. These are available over-the-counter and you need to use it for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, if the ringworm is not gone, a physician may prescribe a stronger cream or an oral antifungal.

Household bleach is not intended for use on skin, even though some sites/people state it killed their ringworm. You can research it and attempt it, of course, but I would not recommend it. "Ultra" bleaches especially do not wash completely off the skin easily and may burn it badly.
