My sister was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of two. About a year ago, my sister had to switch doctors becuase her old doctor stopped taking our insurance. Well, the new doctor said that my sister didn't have diabetes to begin with. Instead she has Ketonic Depleation Hyperglucemia otherwise known as KDH. Please give me your thoughts..

I'd seek the opinion of a specialist since there may have been an incorrect diagnostic. If it turns out that the second doctor is correct and your sister has been suffering in any way because of being misdiagnosed, I seek legal advice.

You don't say how old your sister is now, but be thankful she had to change doctors!

Get a second opinion asap, save everything you can from the original diagnosis and treatment and (if the new diagnosis is confirmed) talk to a lawyer who specializes in malpractice.

You should not be mad - it will serve no purpose and could hurt you more than it does anyone else. But you should take action.

i would sue the first doc

the condition is some thing like reserve part of energy is used rather than the regular source of energy, when reserve source is used some changes happen that is KDH. (its something like becoming anemic due to depletion on ketone bodies by breaking down other sources of energy)

take the best care of your sister, she must be fine soon if she detected right in the right time.
