What year was the last smallpox vaccination given to civilians in the US?

Question:

Answers:
The last year small pox vaccinations were given was 1972 in the US. I happened to get one that year shortly before my family moved overseas. It was declared a vanquished disease by WHO in 1977. Currently they have it stored in three different repositories, under very careful guard.
Probably the late 60's to early 70's. I'm not sure about the exact year. A very painful vaccine.
