Is there any medicine for chicken pox spots to disappear?
Question:
it has been 2weeks and 5 days, since i had chicken pox but the spots take alot of time to disappear. is there any faster way for them to disappear?
Answers:
Varicella lesions develop clefts in a particular strata of the skin. Usually they do not scar and resolve on their own. Excessive itching can lead to scarring, however. Despite many claims, there is no clear evidence that calamine works any better than oral antihistamines for the pruritus (itching). If the lesions aren't itchy, there is no effective way to hurry the healing process other than good diet, rest and fluids, in other words staying as healthy as you can. Early on, had you taken acyclovir (or one of its derivatives), you would not have developed as many lesions, or maybe none at all. But unless you were exposed to someone with chicken pox and then developed the fever, early use of an antiviral is hard to do. There is always varicella vaccinations as well, something for other readers to think about.
try calamine lotion good luck hope better soon take care
