I have this discoloration on my neck.?

Question:
It usually appears on my neck during summer or on a sunny day. I usually don't go outside unless its cool enough. It started out as a small spot then a few more spots came. Its not very noticeable but if your checking it then you'd see it. What is it and can it be treated? I don't think it is, but is it cancerous?

Answers:
It's probably just a spot from too much sun, but it's nothing to worry about unless it looks weird and has a lot of colors. Depending on whether it's just discolored skin or an actual mole, different treatment options are available. Moles can be removed by dermatologists. Dark spots on skin usually can't be completely removed. You can try a moisturizer with soy in it. Soy tends to even out skin tone, but you will probably not get rid of it completely. As for sunscreen, just get an SPF of 30 or higher, and make sure it says it covers both UVA and UVB rays. The most important thing is to use a lot of it when you apply it, and reapply often. If you're sweating or swimming, reapply it every hour. Always wear sunscreen on your face every single day.
if its not multi colored like blk,red and brown then its probably not, also if its not bigger than an pencil eraser, your good, we all worry abt little stuff like that, so do worry and wear sunscreen!
It could be areas of your skin that simply have an increase in melanin production. It probably wouldn't hurt to see a dermatologist.
