I am super afraid of them too. They are everywhere at my Grandmas house and they only come out after I turn out the lights!!! Then their will be 3 just flapping around. When I was little I would hysterically cry when they would come out.
Yes there is a phobia but don't know the title. My mother was paralytic if moths came near her and I have known several other people who could not stand them either. You are not alone just be brave if you can.

No I'm not, but I'm sure it's not an unusual fear. I don't really get it though - I find all insects fascinating. I am a gardener though, so i'm surrounded by them all the time. Maybe that's the answer - confront your fear. Bugs are cool!

Hey, lush! I'm scared of daddy long legs spiders too! Other bugs don't scare me, just those. I accidentally touched a dead one last night and I still feel icky. I was gonna email you to share our phobia, but it wouldn't let me.
NO I'm not afraid of them when I see them flying around cause they don't do anything & they don't hurt you, but when it gets near me I get scared a little.
my mother is she had one in her bedroom sprayed it put a glass over it and still wouldnt go in till my dad finished night shift and moved it she slept on sofa

I think we are all scared of something for me its wasps i run away and jump out of my car,my neighbours hear me screaming like mad i just am so afraid so don't worry we all have a phobia and my neighbour is terrified of moths too close your window at night when the light is on as they are attracted to the light,take care
No they do not bother me only my clothes.May be you had a bad experience when a child.
