I have TMJ Disk Displacement, but there's no pain. Can it be something else?


Question:
When I open my mouth, I have all the symptoms of TMJ disk displacement, but there is no pain, like there is supposed to be. What can it possibly be?

I have TMJ and when I was younger my jaw would lock and crack open...ouch did that hurt. But now I don't get that pain anymore as long as I don't chew alot of gum...I seem to be doing okay. I would consult with your dentist to see what he thinks.
