One year old bug bite?

Question:
One year ago I got a bug bite on my arm. The bite still looked fresh(like the day it happened). The doc said it happens a lot and wont go away. He froze it but said that would only fade it a little - I'm stuck with it. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know of any other treatment?

Answers:
I've never heard of anything like this. Sorry. The only thing I can say is that if it doesn't hurt or bother you, then it's fine and I guess you'll just have to live with it.
hope it wasnt a tick. it could be lyme disease.
i'd say get a second opinion. our skin has built-in defenses to fight off infection. that ain't normal.
