Go see your doc. these may bot look serious but certainly can be.
Could be just about anything. Once while on a business trip, I got a massive splotch of hives on my leg. In evaluating my dietary changes while on that trip and doing the research, I finally narrowed it down to the cranapple juice I drank everyday in the hotel. (Specifically, the dye in it.)
THINK, THINK, THINK ... what have you had that's different? Focus on certain more notoriously allergic foods like dyes (in drinks and cereals, nuts, etc.). But honestly? As long as you didn't have trouble breathing and it just ran it's course, it's not that big of a deal. In fact, I still drink the cranapple every now and then. Just not two glasses a day for a week, the way I did on that trip.
And if you REALLY want to know, an allergist would gladly charge you a handsome fee (or series of fees) to figure it out for you. :-)
