Chronic nosebleed sufferers...Nosebleed that won't stop...?

Question:
I'm having a very very long nosebleed...going on 6 hours constant drip. I've had them all my life, so I know the common techniques...please no "tilt your head back" answerers. I took 2 excedrin max today and I think that's what's going on. Anybody truly know if excedrin could be causing this problem?

Answers:
Excedrin contains acetaminophen (Tylenol), acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin), and caffeine.

Aspirin is a known anti-coagulant (prevents blood from clotting) and is refered to as a "blood thinner". If you have bleeding tendencies it can aggravate them.

Tylenol has little effect on clotting factors

You should be taking tylenol for headaches...nothing with Asprin in it.
don't know that ...

but I do know (don't hate me for this lol)
that if you press your thumb against the roof of your mouth it'll stop bleeding in about a min or so.

I use to have frequent nose bleeds when I was little, and when someone showed me what I just stated above it WORKED! Luckily I do not have that prob anymore.
I had chronic nosebleeds for 17 years, many lasted for hours, & I've heard asprin can be a culprit, not sure though. BUT 6 hours is WAY TOO LONG! I know you don't want to hear this kind of answer, but I strongly suggest going to the hospital. Let us know how you're doing, okay!
Go to the doctor. You may need to have it cauterized especially since you have had the problem your whole life. The doc will use a chemical to seal the blood vessels if they are weak or thin. It is not a pleasant procedure as it will sting like crazy but in most cases it does help. My son had this done this spring and he hasn't had a nosebleed since.
Good Luck.
