My little boy's mouth curves when speaking. He lost his first tooth a few weeks ago, not sure if its related

Question:
Hi we've just noticed that within the last 2 weeks our son 6-7 age range is starting to curve his mouth when speaking. For example when a person who's had a stroke and has partial of their face paralyzed. He is doing this more often. I'm really concerned and going to call his pediatrician tomorrow.

He recently got diagnosed with ADHD as well. They recently completed a series of test and IQ test with a child/school psychologist and he rated well above average for children his age scored in the top 10%, he has a very high IQ for his age 6-7. He's never had problems with speech before.

Has anyone encountered this before with the lip curling lower to the left when speaking or any direction for that matter? Please help I know I will know more tomorrow but I need to have some idea of what's going on. I know me and I'm going to lose sleep over this.

Answers:
I think the worst case scenario is Bell's palsy, a condition where one side of the face can go paralyzed or partially paralyzed for a few weeks at a time. It needs to be monitored by a doctor, but it is not debilitating.
I'm not entirely sure what kind of problem it is, but it is probably just temporary. A similar thing has happened to a friend of mine, and it disappeared after a while. i know this doesn't seem like much, but i hope i helped. Hope all goes well!
