Athletes feet?

I spend long hours in work boots and realy suffer bad with athletes feet the doc told me to use lamiseil but its not touching it any ideas...

Well yea it does work but you know everybody has diffrent skin because for me it worked butt you should try it usually works.
WASH YOUR FEET IN TEA TREE OIL OR SEE A DERMATOLOGIST THEY CAN GIVE YOU SOMETHING THAT IS PRESCRIPTION STRENGTH BECAUSE IF ITS OUT OF CONTROL NOTHING OVER THE COUNTER WILL HELP.
use a medicated powder. put some on your clean dry feet, inside your socks, and in your boots. also bring an extra pair of socks and boots and change them at lunch time or when ever you think your feet are really moist. also on your days off put your boots out on the sun so they can have a chance to dry and air out too.
Daktarin, cream to put on your feet and spray to use on your boots. Works for me
use tenactin or tineacide and Make sure your feet get plenty of airing (mild cases of athletes foot can even be fixed by airing the feet)
Use good quality socks that keep the feet dry
Avoid walking barefoot in communal showers - always use shower 'shoes'
Wash you feet daily and dry very carefully (especially between the toes)
Reduce foot moisture by using a talcum powder
I use daktarin duel action spray powder in an aerosol works a treat.
Whatever treatment you use, be sure to remove your boots and socks as soon as you get home, and leave them off until morning. The fungus thrives in moisture.
Try using Lamisil along with medicated powder for your feet. Keeping it dry will help. Powder your feet before you put your socks on (make sure the socks are freshly washed & clean), and at the end of the day when you're ready to go home, carry a pair of flip-flops. Wipe/dry your feet off with a towel, add more "medicated" powder and put on your flip-flop/sandals until you get home to wash. Avoid keeping your feet wet, and never, never go barefoot. Always wear some kind of footwear especially in public showers like a gym or swimming pool. That's where you pick up Athlete's foot if you don't have it to begin with.

according to a "foot" dr (podiatrist) clotrimazole (Gyne-Lotrimin) is the best thing for foot fungus. also use moisture wicking socks. you should have at least 2 pair of boots. if you swap daily that should give them time to dry between wears. i spray my shoes with Tinactin spray just in case.
it might not be a bad idea to take an extra pair of socks to change during the day to keep your feet dry.

i have met athletes foot once.. the itching and burning will drive you mad. the most important thing is to keep your feet dry once you have cleared the fungus.

check your toenails also. if they are discolored and crumbling they also have a fungus. there is an over the counter treatment that the foot dr recommends that is like a nail polish. paint it on your toe nails daily and use only a nail file to reduce your toe nails. this will clear up the fungus and prevent ingrown toe nails. you can't cut the nails too short if you use a file and it doesn't leave a sharp edge.
well, this might not be something that you want to do, but peeing on your feet, just while you are in the shower, will help. because your pee has amoniom, (not sure how to spell this) in it. if you are not up to trying this, then just try and change your socks when you can, and when you get off work, then you should take them off and don't put any socks on. make sure that you do not touch your feet and touch something else, because athletes foot is contagious, and you can give it to someone else. hope this helps. just make sure that you don't touch it and touch another part of your body, because it will appear there.
Athlete feet, I can only tell you what works for me!

Wash your feet, dry making sure you dry between the toes, use baby powder sprinkle between toes. Do this until it clears up.

I swear by that treatment worked for me, I never get athlete feet since.
Lamasil is generally very effective. There are 3 possibilities. The first is that your diagnosis may be wrong, in which case it could be a number of other conditions, including bacterial infection. The second is that it is so severe and ingrained that the lamasil is not potent enough. In this case you might require an oral anti-fungal. the third is that the conditions are so severe that the Lamasil can't cope. This would be due to the perpetually ideal conditions for fungal growth, because of your boots. which make it dark, damp and warm. Or because something else is encouraging the growth, such as diabetes.

I suggest all of these mean a visit to your GP.
