Palm, inside finger rash, that comes and goes?

Question:
Any idea what it could be. The palm of my hand, down below the thumb side has this rash, or red itchy area that seems to come and go daily. It appears between my fingers also. The rash is seemingly always there, but fades and then flares up throughout the day in the same locations. Very wierd! There is no infection, or puss, or boils, just bumppy red skin and raised some, it itches like heck, then sort of fades. Does this for about 3 weeks, then the skin sort of peels or flakes off on the top layer. Then it comes aback again. Only happens on my right hand. The skin also sort of feels itchy, but slightly numb in the areas where it occurs.

Any ideas?

Answers:
Do you wear any jewelry on that hand? My wedding ring use to do it to me (when I was married I use to joke I was allergic to marriage). Seriously, what it was..was from me washing my hands and soap/water getting stuck under my ring. My hand would do the exact same thing you've described. If you don't wear jewelry on that hand then..guess I don't have a clue. ;~P Good luck.
Wow..that is too weird, I have had the exact same thing for the past few months. It looks like tiny, red bumps right in the middle of my palm and a bit between my fingers and thumb, and it is always worse on one hand. It will appear for a few days or a week and then will peel and flake and disappear like magic. I've tried lotions, thinking it was just dry skin, but they seem to have no effect. Hopefully someone can provide an answer. Not something I want to bother with a doc appointment.
