Intolerable itching?

Question:
My legs are COVERED in bruises from scratching. When I'm stressed, I itch like crazy. All over my body. What is the deal? I

Answers:
It is probably your nerves.
I have an uncle who starts clawing at his arms and legs when he gets nervous or upset.
This happens to me too.
What you might want to do is try to find something to do when you notice that you start scratching.
I like a hot shower and it helps stop the itching.
You might want to try that.
see a doctor and possibly a therapist
mine is an allergy, i itch behind my knees and i apply CLOSAL B its an over the counter cream and the itching stops immediately you apply it.
To treat the itching use hydrocortisone cream which is available at any drug store.

If you feel the itching only starts when you feel stressed then you need ways to calm yourself. When you are feeling stressed you can listen to music, take a walk or engage in some other form of exercise and/or meditate.

Talking with a therapist might help but don't resort to prescription medication (i.e. Valium) until you have tried other ways of dealing with your stress.
