Answers:
Different people have different levels of melanin in the skin, and form different amounts. You, like me, are naturally pale complexion and have very little. You can gradually build up a certain amount of tan, but you will never look like you toasted nicely. Your best bet is to use a sunless tanning product, which is safer for the skin anyway. I was probably the only pale face in Florida, even after 4 years of sun exposure. I took comfort from the dermatologist I worked for, though. He reminded me that all those folks with the nice dark tans would look like old tanned leather ball gloves by middle age, and be coming to see him to remove all those skin cancers. I got to noticing a good many of his patients were old sun bathers, with leather looking hides. One lady was only in her mid 40's and looked to be closer to 65, wrinkled and dried up leather wasn't even a good description. One the other hand, we weren't taking cancerous moles off too many pale faces. All things being equal, I decided I'd tan less and wrinkle less. Tan comes in a bottle, botox is expensive.
its ok. some peoples body have a complicated ph complex with can prevent rays to hit the skin and color to stick. i have the same problem! i have been using jergens daily moisture tan lotion to use and it has made a difference. but due to your skin tone, it will be best to use it every 2-3 days. if you continue to tan, that should help it stick around a little bit longer
well i think u should just not tan. use sunless tanner cuz everyones worried about cancer now. but u can use suntan oil i think ithelps.
i was the same way you are probaly to light to tan but you will burn easy
some people tan, others just go in the sun and burn. i dont know why, just buy fake tan cream and rub some in (its safer than staying out in the sun all day long too)
Get a beer. Pour it over you like a lotion and put it in ample amount and get a sun bathing.
Beer usually tans a person.
you might be actually tanning a little but everybody else in your family gets more tan so it makes you look whiter
you should also get wet before you start tanning some people don't do that but it works really good because the sun attracts to water more than anything
Your not alone, I have the same problem.
but last year I started using (Jergens daily moisturizer, for fair skin tones) first after shaving, I use a regular moisturizer, then apply the Jergens, my leg have a nice golden shade.
no streaks either.. I've even had people say what a nice tan I have, its worth at try. I use it after every shower.
Because you are lucky.
