What can i do to heal scarred lungs?

Question:

Answers:
What do you mean when you say 'Scarred' lungs? Well, if it is fibrosis of the lungs by whatever cause then it is irreversible.Scarring in medical terms means deposition of fibrous (dead) tissue in that part of the body that had been inflamed/infected but was not treated then.Just like scarring in any part of the body like skin, although the infection/inflammation goes off the scar tissue remains there for life. It is practically not removable.
Anything that causes long standing infection/inflammation but was neglected can result in scarring, be it smoking(chronic irritant to the bronchial tree) TB(chronic infection) etc.The later treatment is initiated, the greater the area of scarring.
see a doctor.
What are they scarred from? If it is smoking stop now. It will be the best thing you will ever do for yourself.....
