Post gallbladder removal?
Question:
Answers:
Doesn't sound like hypoglycemia. I wonder if it may be an allergic reaction to a particular protein.
I do not know, go to your dr
After your gall bladder is removed, a tiny sack forms which will start producing bile again which aids in the digestion of fats. However you will never produce as much bile as previously. It is quite normal to find fats and proteins hard to digest. Just alter your diet or you'll be slugging back Maalox for the rest of your life.
I'm not sure but when you have your gall bladder removed you should be cutting back on fatty foods because your gall bladder is not there to break down that stuff. Take care and eat right.
No, I'm hypoglycemic and everything fits except for the high fat foods. If you had low blood sugar, you would be getting extremely hungry suddenly and, if you ignore your stomach, then you would get shaky and dizzy. My mother had the same operation and she has troubles. Remember that the gall bladder removes harmful fatty stuff from your food, so without it, everything is going through. I would ask for a colonoscopy to determine if you have any irratation or hernias. My mom just had surgery to repair multiple hernias and that seems to have helped her. Also, try to stay away from peanuts and other high fat foods if you can help it simply because you really aren't supposed to eat them without your gall bladder. Good luck to you.
