A Rheumatologist .. check for the best one in your area... I found a book by Dr. Mark J. Pellegrino,M.D. "Fibromyalgia Up Close and Personal", (Barnes and Noble), that has help me to understand my immune system breakdown much better.Dr. Pellegrino is a M.D. who suffers with Fibromyalgia. And shame on you people out there who have no idea what life with Fibromyalgia
is like !! Made up! Indeed ! I wish to God that my pain, fatigue, headaches, diarrhea, acid reflux, fibrofog, etc.were made up... You have no Idea how it interferes with a person's normal life... Life is no longer normal as you have known it! If you should ever develop Fibromyalgia,it would serve you right for that unfeeling remark! I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, but unfeeling jerks who have no concept of another's suffering would deserve a taste. just because you cannot see fibromyalgia does not mean it does not exist... you cannot see electricity either, but I'd bet that you believe that it will shock you should you stick a wet finger in a socket !! Walk a mile in my shoes before you discount Fibromyalgia!
I thought those were made up diseases invented by fat army wives who needed an excuse to not do the house cleaning. I didn't know there were real doctors who treated it.

you would need to see a Rheumatologist.
First of all: don't listen to all these ignorant people who say these conditions are made up! They don't know crap. My mom suffered with one or both of these for about 20 years. She went all over the country when she felt well enough to travel, had all kinds of tests and treatments. The only thing she said that helps is good nutrition, plenty of water. Try to stay away from medications, because people with chronic fatigue syndrome can react differently to medications. Also, avoid vigorous exercise... it will tire you out. My mom is a nurse, she really recommends not taking too many medications, and trying to do VERY light exercise like walking, but only if it makes you feel better, not worse. Try to treat the symptoms naturally, independent of each other. Also, for the fybromialgia, light stretching can help. I hope you, or whoever in your life is suffering feels better soon. It really helps to have supportive family and friends. Good luck!
