I would agree with the whipped egg whites they really are the BEST thing ever for any broken skin or friction rash I first used this cure on my daughter some 13 years ago and I was stunned - I now apply egg whites too any skin inflamation and it works a treat
Fresh air is great if you can along with frequent changes - modern disposibles will also help even if you only use them whilst yu have this problem its worth it
Best of all remember - this too will pass my daughter hasnt had nappy rash for some 13 years - just as well as shes now 14. It breaks you heart to see them so sore but it will get better.
Also watch where the labels of clothing sits as if your child has sensitive skin , which 1 of mine did, you may fine cutting out all clothing lables reduced the opportunity for sore skin

As above fresh air whenever possible, some kids do have sensitive skin. The worst case of this I saw was on a baby in erry towelling nappies and it came down the legs and up the back and front, poor thing,I used to lay my daughter on a clean bathtowel ( she was only 5 months old) she got over hers really quickly, the others never got it!
hi there, this is an old wives tale but is said to work, dab on egg white wait for it to dry, then place a piece of muslin between skin and nappy, this should help, when it clears up i would reccommend using yellow soft parafin on the bum at every nappy change, the yellow soft parafin is a good barrier, unlike sudocreme which is a healer, but if the urine does'nt get to the skin you should not have any more bother with nappy rashxx yellow soft parafin is also known as vaseline, but big phamasists stock large tubs of soft parafin, and is very cheap to buy.xx just wanted to add i have 3 kids and used soft parafin for them all, none of them ever had nappy rashxx
my little boy had horrible nappy rash a couple of weeks ago... best thing i did was to leave the nappy off as much as possible for the air to get to it, and use 'METANIUM ' nappy rash ointment... honestly that stuff worked like magic when nothing else touched it!
when my little one had awful nappy rash the dr`s gave me methanium(you can also buy it from chemist)
it worked really well,definate improvement after just one application.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and if you are given medicines from the Dr you can be sure it wont work or it will get worse the best thing you can use is calendula cream or aloe vera gel from the health store
