Can You Get Chicken Pox More Than Once?

Question:
Just Wondering

Answers:
Yes you can. It is highly unlikely but unlike most of the answers your receiving the severity of the case of chicken pox doesn't matter. It doesn't affect the immunity no matter how bad or how light the case is. Almost everyone who gets chicken pox will be immune to further cases as long as their bodies immune systems are normal. Of course people with diseases that can comprimise the immune system like HIV, or Leukemia are at a risk.
Yes, apparently you can.
It is possible but vary rare.
Yes, but after you had the chicken pox, you can get shingles which is an adult chicken pox
Yes you can, I had it when I was a child and also as an adult.
Yes you can!! I've had it twice!!
no
It depends on how bad you had them the first time, because then your body makes stronger antibodies.

If you just barely had a few bumps, and it only lasted a day or two, yup. your gonna get them again. but my mother had them EVERTYWHERE. In her mouth, in her ears. Horrible and she never had them again;

So it really depends
yes not as bad as the first time.
Yes, if you body did not fully recover from the first time. Happened to my cousin!
sorry but yes, and also shingles, hope im not contagious now talkin to u!
according to my mama;no,1 time is it.IS
Yes you can, but it is not very common. In adults it is referred to as Shingles and is 100% worse than when you had it as a child, as are most childhood diseases when they recur in adulthood unfortunately.
If you had a very mild Case the first time ...it is possible, .,.. but very rare
No,,,

Yes, My sister had it like 3 times. And my history teacher had it the first time and shes like 30, it was soo bad she had them in her eyes and everything & she was in hospital. its better to get them when your young.
Yes I had them twice.I've heard it said that u only get them once......RUBBISH!
yes it is possible, you may also get shingles which is very painful
i guesss
I had severe chicken pox six times and mild chicken pox twice during childhood. Thankfully none since! Each time the doctor exclaimed and said that it shouldn't reoccur.. but it did. I have a dodgy immune system though.

I should add that after the second lot of chicken pox, the doctor always asked for a second and sometimes third opinion to be sure!
yes
It is possible but not very common
