Eyelid rash?

Question:
I just developed a rash on my top eyelids almost into my brow. It's very itchy and red...and my lids swell up a little. I have a prescription of "Cordran" and want to know if anyone knows-if it's ok to use this. Why do I have this condition? I also noticed dark circles under my eyes and I don't have allergies.

Answers:
Cordran is too potent a steroid to be used on or near the eyelids for any length of time. If it was prescribed for your eye condition get a second opinion.
Not sure what country you are from but Cordran is aka Flurandrenolide, a corticosteroid used for inflammatory conditions of the skin.
Was this prescribed to you for this condition or for something else...? if it is the latter don't use it and see your family doctor.

I would not take seriously anyone on this site who tries to tell you what condition you have as this can only be done by a qualified health professional who has actually seen the condition. Most likely it is a form of eczema / dermatitis and the ointment prescribed should get rid of it ... do not get any in your eyes!
If the cream was prescribed for this condition then follow the instructions given.
Once it has cleared up you might want to think of hot to prevent re-occurrence : is it your make up, do you work with chemicals, is this stress related etc
