i try to not eat after dark. i like to take my medicine and relax before i go to sleep. i do not know why i say after dark but i try to stay with that program. every now and than on the week ends i eat latter and i do not sleep well that night.
Well, I'd say your dinner shouldn't be eaten later than 6pm and then a snack no later than 8pm...however you are asking this question under the diabetes question and that's different. You might need a snack later depending on how late you are awake and your insulin and activity prior that day.
When I was gettig married and needed a physical, I weighed 108 pounds. My doctor jokingly told me that married people often gained weight. and warned me not to eat after 8:00 PM. Years later, I stay with that advice.
There are more variables needed to adqueately answer this question. What time do you go to bed? When do you stop being active? And as others have said, since you are asking this under the Diabetes category, do you suffer from night time highs or lows?

I tend to eat dinner late 7-8ish, however, typically after dinner I am very active with household chores and walking. I will at times, have a small helping of something to provide a small sugar boost to prevent nighttime lows which were occuring.
I am Type 1 and have eaten as late as 10pm before and have had no problems, I believe as long as you are still taking your shot or pills you can eat whenever you want.
Dinner is 6pm and a snack at 8 depending on when you go to bed. But if you are diabetic then you eat something small when you need to.
