Vaccine shots?

Question:
Do you know what they look for on the Tuberculosis vaccine skin test? I got one yesteryday, and today it turned to a firm red spot. is that bad?

Answers:
You have to wait 3 days and then see what it looks like. After one day doesn't count as anything.
Talk to your doctor it could be very bad, or nothing at all
I don't know if it's bad, but if they count it as a reaction, they'll probably ask you to get a chest X-ray. Don't worry...they say the amount of rays in the X-ray are not dangerous, just like teeth X-rays.
Call! They look for NO reaction.
They're looking for it to grow or darken. The thing is that a positive does NOT necessarily mean you have TB. It simply means you need to take a more exact blood test. A surprising amount of people in the US test positive on the skin test every year. I used to work in the health field and my brother is a doctor... He says that it has something to do with exposure and antibodies. The skin test will actually detect the antibodies and give a positive reading. That's why the blood test is important in the follow up.

A lot of health professionals actually test positive as well because they come in contact with daily situations which could expose them and cause them to create antibodies.

My brother tested positive on his while my mother and I (we've all worked in the health field) have only tested negative.
well when a tuberculosis test is administered it checks to see if you have been exposed or infected with the disease.

the results are read in 48-72 hours. a positive reaction only states that youve been exposed to the disease. you will get a chest xray which will determine if you have the disease, and if the chest xray is positive then you will be placed on med

lots of people that have positive reactions usually have a negative chest xray
It really doesn't matter what it looks like now. They look in 48 hours. If it is read and blistered then they do a chest xray. Was this just a normal childhood test for school physical or have you been ill? If you have not been in contact with a TB patient and have no symptoms you are probably ok even if it does show a positive reaction. They can give a false positive.
simply happy I could not find how to send you a personal message. I saw you answered someone elses question about how to "sync" videos on your ipod so that you can watch them on your ipod. could you elaborate some more with me one that?
you were quoted as saying to go to the "preferences tab, then tv shows/movies tab then click sync movies" well I could not find these tabs on itunes 7.
I have the movies on my itunes, but when i disconnect safely i can not view them on the ipod itself.
I appreciate n e help.
