What is the difference between a canker soar and a cold soar?

Question:
I have two little white bumps on the inside of my lip ( that hurt a ton) and I'm a little worried. I've never had a cold soar before and I'm worried that I might have contracted it. Do you know what the differences between Canker Soars and Cold Soars are, and do you know of any good websites to look up? Thanks.

Answers:
Cold sores usually appear around the mouth while canker sores appear in the mouth. Cold sores are caused by a virus while canker sores are caused by bacteria. If a cold sore is in the mouth, it's usually on the roof of the mouth.
A good website is http://www.quantumhealth.com/news/coldso...
canker soars are on your tounge and cold soars are on your lip
there isnt much of a diffrence really. cold sores are a form of herpes but not the icky bad kind that never goes away. get some ointment for it at wallgreens and youll be fine.
canker sores are on the inside of your mouth (this is what you have)
and cold sores are on the outside...usually on your lip.

canker sores will go away on their own, you probably have just eaten alot of acidic foods. don't worry- i get them alot...no big deal.
a canker soar is in your mouth. Did you have anything salty, or with citrus in past few days? a cold soar is normally on the lips and it's like a pimple only bigger and worse. You can go to the drug store to get a topical for it while it's small, but it sounds like a canker soar. Rinse with warm salt water, it will go away in a week. do not smoke it will get worse.
I don't know for sure but i am pretty sure that cold sores come on the outside of you face and cankers come inside your mouth. I knew this girl once that always had cold sores and they would grow on the outside of her face right on the corner of her lip. I had bumbs on the inside of my moth they were sord of like little cuts and the doctor said that they were canker sores so i don't think that you have either. Go to the doctor and get it checked out i'm sure it's nothing. It's definately not a cold sore.
caker soars are from overly much sugar and are inside ur mouth
cold soars are from aread near the mouth i dont remember the cause.
im sure its no biggie, but if u want to be sure ask a doctor
here's a site http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/0938.

plus canker sores are usually in the inside of the mouth cold sores are outside.
It's a sore. Soar is when you're flying. You know, high school musical? "We're soaring, we're flying..." They aren't soring, as in having lots of sores. They are soaring, a.k.a. flying.
Canker sores can be anywhere in your mouth, lips or tongue. Here's a link about them: http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/...
They are often caused by a slight injury to the tissue like biting the inside of your mouth.

Cold sores are different and are generally preceded by a tingling sensation which then develops into blister like bumps. They are caused by a virus - herpes simplex type 1. Check this link: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/cold-so...
Cold sores are on the skin, not in your mouth. Canker sore is a venereal sore. The spots you have you can probably relieve the pain with some of the stuff which is used when babies are teething. If it worries you, go see a Dr and get it off your mind.
