Diabetes Burning while urinating?

its not like a bladder infection, the pain is not half as bad as that. i have no other symptoms of a Bladder infection. the pain stops as soon as im finished using the restroom
im pre diabetes.
im wondering if im urinating out sugar
could you please describe the the feeling and other symptoms of peeing out sugar?
im calling the dr tomorrow.

yea you probably have early symptons of type 2 diabetes. i got scared, so i cut back on sugar for awhile and it went away. i dont have diabetes or anything ,but my alot of people in my family do and this is one of the pre cursors.
It sounds to me as if u may have a urinary tract infection. One of the symptoms is burning with urination, is your urine strong or foul smelling?? increase your water intake and keep your appt with your MD
Passing sugar in your urine would not give you any symptoms. If you have some burning when pasing urine, you probably have a urine infection (the pain may be slight sometimes), or, if you also have some itch, you may have vulval thrush. Your doctor or nurse can do a simple urine test to check for urine infection, which would be treated with antibiotics. If you have thrush, you can try Canesten pessary and cream, which you can buy over the counter.
Diabetics are more susceptible to yeast infections and UTI Both male & Female.
I don't think it can be anything to do with peeing sugar - you wouldn't feel that, you'd just notice a lot more trips to the toilet, and thirst to go with it (all that peeing leaves you a little dehydrated).
Pre-diabetes means you already have slightly higher than normal blood sugar results, so it's a good idea to watch your carbohydrate intake. You may be able to avoid diabetes totally with some knowledge & effort :)

i've been diabetic for years and never had pain while urinating. how can you be "pre-diabetic"? either you have it or you dont
