I would definetly. That stuff spreads like crazy through college. Tell your parents it's recommended by the experts, and i think some colleges make it mandatory.
I got one of those and I wasn't at risk for it. Hehe..
Just do it because if you ARE at risk... Well, better that you do it hmmmm? Just be honest with your parents.
Umm... yeah... keep the ten points. I mean your parents are gonna want whats best for you and even though you believe this procedure is as useless as Vick with a can of kibbles your parents believe the opposite and wants what would make you healthy. So yeah, ur stuck dude. Unless they cool parents, then tell them how you feel.
Yes. a teenager I know just got over meningitis. I thought that didn't even exist anymore because it's so rare to hear about it until. a week ago and she doesn't know if she got it from kissing her bf, sharing a soda with her bff or what.
I think you should do it just to be safe and tell your parents just that. You don't want to be sick because you can die from meningitis
you should get especially if u plan on going to college. its not a hoax
Hope this helps you

Who Should Get the Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccine?
Public health officials recommend that all college students take the meningococcal meningitis immunization. In particular, those who live in close quarters (dormitories, fraternities, and sororities), who frequent bars or consume alcohol, who smoke or are regularly around smokers are at higher risk and should consider vaccination. Students with certain chronic conditions (eg, have had their spleen removed) should be vaccinated. Students traveling to high-risk areas of the world (eg, sub-Sahara Africa) should consider vaccination.
The conjugate vaccine is now also recommended for all children when they reach 11-12 years of age.
Beginning in September 2004, Rutgers University requires that all incoming first year and transfer students receive the vaccine.

DUH.
just tell your parents, they would probably understand
I had Spinal meningitis when I was 10 years old. That was 37 years ago and things have really changed. At that time , I was suppose to die, or if I lived I was suppose to be a vegetable.
I suffered a lot in many ways from this disease. I was totally paralyzed on my left side and had to learn how to walk, talk and do everything all over again. I still have some effects today. I think I am qualified to answer your question, which is a serious one. 10 points are nothing, Your health is!
This is a decision that should be made after you thoroughly investigate all pro's and con's of the vaccine.
Yes, you need to talk it over with your parents. Tell them of your concerns.
You should also look at the 4 types of meningitis that this vaccine covers and what effects they could have on your life!
It pains me to see you treat this so casually. Meningitis is a deadly disease!
Good luck and GOD bless!
