How do you get rid of blackheads? Its driving me crazy?

Ok if you want a home remedy this works! What you'll need: 1 medium pot filled with water, a medium sized towel, a few q-tips , and Exfoliating face wash (I use st.Ives). If you can handle a little bit of heat this is the only thing that gets rid of my black heads. I put the pot of water on the stove top until it boils. The boiling pot of water will start to let out steam. Take the towel and put it over your head. Allow the steam to gently touch your face without getting too close. The steam will allow your pores to open making it easier to exfoliate. After about a minute or two, apply the exfoliation cream to your face and rub it for a minute or two ( over the nose area it is good to scrub with a face cloth). Wash the face wash off. Boil the pot again and repeat the same step to open your pores. After about the same time take the Q-tips and squeeze out the black heads on your nose. They should come out no problem. Make sure you use two Q-tips and push the black head out in between. Do not use your nails because it will scar your skin. After this wash your face with cold water which acts as an astringent, which will close your pores. I hope this works... Best of luck! - Also Biore strips are a waste of money don't bother!

Old time home remedy: Rub some butter or margarine on it.
I think if some jews move in the black heads will leave. Blacks and jews hate each other.

Tina, I have the same issue... I use clean and clear blackhead stuff and once every two weeks I use a nose strip to pull some of them out. I found that doing a mask at home once a week helps. I have some simple at home mask recipe's if you want them just give me a shout. Use moisturizer and wash your face atleast twice a day. My friend uses blotting papers because she has a really oily nose she said those help.
I recommend for you to get a facial.Then try one of those over the counter products like neutragena blackhead clearing scrub it should work.The facial can be a little expensive shall i say around 30 dollars...Anyways it's worth it...
I sometimes get those on my nose also - I hae used clay based facial masks that help - favorite one is by Origins ... I also really like Biore Nose Strips - those work really well to clear out the blackheads quick
I used to have them. Blackheads are dirt trapped in pores. I would go and get a medical facial WITH EXTRACTIONS...the facialist will steam your face and extract the blackheads. There is no overnight cure, it takes some time and patience.
.. don't be scared... i have them too... it is nothin to be ashamed about!! have u had ur period? cuz thats a sign that u are expecting puperty... has ur face gotten oily? try poppin them.or put on cover up... maybe that might help!! ♥
Queen Helen mint julep mask helps alot, it shrinks pore size, and works great on razor burn as well. Plain white toothpaste has the same effect. The sulfur in it is what works all of the magic*
there is a treatment that I took you can get it at your dermotologist's it's called photodynamic therapy it's about over 100$ but they'll prompt you to use acutane but DON'T USE IT if you are sexually active because it causes serious birth defects. The photodynamic therapy knocks out your atural sunscreen so you can't go in the sun very long for 48 hours, but it really works!
I don't know how to not get them b/c some people just have bigger pores, and those people are going to get them. You can safely remove them, though. Purchase the Biore strips (you can get them at any drug store), but what I do is bring a small pot of water to a simmer, TAKE IT OFF THE STOVE, do a hand test first (to make sure the steam isn't too hot), and drape a towel over your head while your face hovers over the steam. THEN use the Biore strips as directed. (This will soften your pores and give the Biore strips a better chance of getting the most of them out.) you should see a dermatologist. I used proactiv before and it worked but it did make me break out even more when i stopped using it =/ RetinAmicro is supposed to help with blackheads but u gotta get a prescription
Try these easy tips:
-Try a steam facial. Fill a sink or large bowl with steaming hot water, wrap a towel around your hair to keep it dry and bend over the water for 5-10 minutes (be sure you don't actually touch the water with your face; it's hot!). This will help unclog your pores.
-Avoid soap-based cleansers for your face, and use cleansers with salicylic acid, as this kills bacteria.
-Use an exfoliant to brush away dead skin cells. If there are no dead skin cells to clog your pores, natural oils can flow through your skin and pores more clearly.
-Do NOT use pore strips. Pore strips can irritate your skin and worsen current breakouts while causing new ones.
-Try dabbing a small amount of vinegar (either white vinegar or apple cider vinegar) onto your blackheads. Many celebrities use this method to help get rid of not only blackheads, but all blemishes.
-Apply warm honey to your face and wash off with warm water. While this may not be as effective as other methods, it can help.
-Don't touch or pick your blackheads. Oil and dirt from your fingers can transfer into your skin, worsening current blackheads.
