What can be done about a persistent head "itch"?

Question:
Symptoms are in an elderly woman who has tried a variety of over the counter items to no avail. Has visited one dermatologist who provided a prescription that also did not help. Condition has been present for about a year and a half; symptoms wax and wane but never go away completely. General practitioner has told her that it's just something she will "have to live with". Any help greatly appreciated.thanks.

Answers:
try using the shampoo from arbonne with tea tree oil and the pure and natural items that make the shampoo will soothe her scalp.

tea tree and peppermint oils, licorice, rosemary and sage extracts
i think application of heena, with proportionate quantities of lemon, curd and decotion of tea will help..but only if ur not too allergy to cold..if u are, u can just mix sm coffe powder wid the mixture or a pinch of ajwain..
well first maybe you could try washing your hair then greasing it everyday because maybe you just have a dry scalp. my hair dresser told me that sometimes if you you olive oil it helps tramendously. maybe it could be something that you are allergic to have you thought about that try and thing of things that my cause you to ich. including things such as dust, hair product, and etc. becuase being allergic to something causes people to react in different ways and maybe your reaction causes your hair to ich.
