Question:

Answers:
If she has had it for 2 weeks there is nothing to be done.It will already be healing.
For future reference an anti viral cream such as Zovirax as soon as it starts will shorten healing time
your cousin, huh?

well I heard you could put a bayer aspirin on it.. that's a secret we models rarely share with commoner like you.
you could try gargling salt water or some cold sore medicine u can get at the drugstore
There isn't a cure for cold sores, only treatments. Go to your local drugstore, talk to the pharmacist, there are tons of medications available. For the meantime, polysporin with help.
take some water and put salt in it and keep it in your moth for a minite or too and od this repedtly for every day until its gone it works on mine the prescripshion stuf sucks
Abrevia, carmex, herpican(something like that)! They all work pretty good!
It may be herpes ,tell her to go to dr.
If it has been there that long then I suggest that she see a physician. Not likely but, it could be something worse than a cold sore. Better safe than sorry. Plus they can prescribe something that should be able to knock it out pretty fast.
There is no cure for cold sores as they are caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 but there are over-the-counter medications that are used to help control the pain.

Denavir cream 1% and Zovirax cream 5% are the only prescription medications that have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of cold sores.
Abriva!!!!

I use it all the time, its a little expensive but it works the best!!
Abrevia
I've gotten cold sores my whole life...I have tired every ointment. If she's had it that long it should be going away soon. I have recently been using Neosporin Lip Treatment, it works pretty well if I catch the cold sore before it actually is visible. The best treatment though, by far, is going to the doctor and getting a prescription for Acyclovir or another anti-viral (I can't remember the name off the top of my head). Is this her first time with a cold sore? If she gets one again soon, then maybe send her to the doctor. I've heard other people have good luck with Abreva but it's pretty spendy at around $17. Good luck to her, I know they stink!!
k this may sound weird but use nail polish remover make sure it is acetone and apply it with a q-tip hourly to the infected area!! Best of luck!
