My son has developed large bald spots in his beard. What could be the cause?


Question:
My son is 33, always had a very heavy beard. Had to start shaving at 11 years old. He has now some large areas where hair no longer grows on his face. Started as small round areas and is spreading. He has not been exposed to any chemicals that could have splashed him.

Answers:
It sounds like the fungal infection known as "ringworm"
