Dizzy Spells??
Question:
I need your help I don’t know what’s wrong with me!
Answers:
the problem sounds like the same problem i have it is an
inner ear problem called vertigo, the best medicine for that
is meclizine.did any of the drs give you the simple vertigo
test, also you didn't say what kind of medication you're on.
i agree with one of the other answers go see an eye/ear/nose-throat specialist, ask if there is a simple test to
check for vertigo to see if you really have it.[ trust me there is
a simple test] GOOD LUCK.
What does your diet consist of? You may be becoming dizzy due to low/high blood sugar.
I would ask one of them to refer you to a Neurologist.
It may be allergies...I'd go see a ear nose and throat specialist.
I have been dizzy since I was about your age... that is about 40 years... my mom and grandma had the same thing and my daughter does too...
It is an inner ear thing. Do you also get noises and ringing? colds, allergies, sinus infections all make it worse. some might call it Meniere's disease. some call in Tinnitis.
It can come on suddenly, be there for a week or so then go for a while. it is annoying but not seriously life threatening. just wear ear plugs when at concerts and keep the earphone level low so you dont aggrivate it more.
High salt diets can often trigger dizzy spells when the fluid level in the ear increases.
That has happend to me before too. But it can be a few things, and you should have ALL diagnosed.
1. Ear infection (this was my problem) Your balance is through your inner ears, right? So when there's fluid in there it reacts with your balance. Keep taking the antibiotics the doctor gave you. I had mine for 2 months before it went away.
2. You're pregnant. Is this a possibility?
3. Meniere's Disease. It is an actual disease that causes you to have this little dizzy spells, though I'm not sure exactly why. When I had the ear infection with dizzy spells my doctor gave me pills for meniere's to stop the dizzy spells. Maybe your doctor can do the same for you...just so you're more comfortable.
Hope you get better!
You may not be eating enough and drinking enough fluids. If you are of average size; you should be drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. I've had a couple of people in my family dehydrating because they forget to drink enough water. One was checked by the doctor and she was low on potassium and sodium along with low fluids. She even had to go to the hospital for three days. This is serious in this hot weather that most people are having.Water does more good than anything else. Iced tea is good too. Not too many soft drinks.
It happens to people of all ages in the summer time.
Take care of yourself.
