My goodness. I am so sorry you have these problems. My husband was diagnosed with Diabetes, Pulminary Ambulisms, High blood pressure and Pernicious Anemia about 3 years ago...fortunately my husband is a Certified Chef who happens to now run his own catering business. If you need help, he can help you...If you're interested, you are welcome to email me kristypendland@yahoo.com
If you do decide to email me to get his number, just put in the subject line (so I'll know it is you) "YouQA.com RESPONSE".
I'm asking no one else use that email address but I felt the need to give it to this lady because she really needs it and I honestly believe my husband can help her. If you choose not to call him, I sure hope you find what your looking for and feel better.
My god you got it all. Stop eating, stop sex and run for your life.
oh dear
i think the term is clinically obese actually
I also have diabetes(type 2) and I also have to lose weight. I started just getting up as early as possible and just walking. And I try to walk during the day. 10 min here 10 min there. My diet is not all that great but I try to use smaller plates(smaller plates tend to let me eat smaller portions.) I try to eat every 4 to 5 hours to keep my metabolism up.

I also have asthma and high blood pressure along with high cholesterol. My suggestion is if you smoke quit. I am in the process of trying to quit myself. NOT EASY AT ALL. But every effort to change you bad habits are good ones. It took us awhile to get this way it will take awhile to get back to normal. Try to pray a lot and refocus your thinking.

The number one problem too is carbs. Carbs turn into sugar. Pasta, white bread, mainly anything in a box. I know you have heard this before but eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies. When you cook them they taste great but you also lose a lot of nutrients your body needs.

I hope this helps a lot. Good luck and good health to you.

PS. I do an oatmeal shake for breakfast. I take fresh fruit and raw oatmeal, water and sometimes fruit juice(be careful of the sugar) and blend in a blender. Use water and juice to get the right consistancy for you. My favorite is strawberries and bananas. Mix and match different combos and I am sure you will find some you like. This helps majorly with cholesterol and blood pressure. Or you can eat regular oatmeal(yuck).
Your body mass index is 42 kg/m2. Bariatric (weight loss) surgery is recommended for those in 'good health' when the body mass index is over 40. Bariatric surgery is recommended for those with health problems - hypertension and diabetes for example - when the body mass index is over 35. The goal would be a body mass index of 25. Given your height this would be a weight just under 140 pounds. There are very few individuals who are able to drop from a body mass index of 42 to 30 let alone 25 without surgery. At a body mass index of 25 you may no longer need to be treated for hypertension or diabetes. My heart goes out to you. You have more than your share of misery. I wish you the very best of health and may God bless your efforts.
Oh sweetie, I am so sorry. I also have lupus, tend toward diabetes, from when Im on prednison, I get Gerd, but dont have the other problems. First you probablly weigh so much from the lupus problems. are you on prednison? That makes you gain weight and increases blood sugar like crazy. and unless your off it makes it hard to loI lose. First the gerd. I had it for years. Then I started eating Red Pepper (cyanne) pepper daily. Its very spicy and if you like spicy food it may help the gerd naturally, like many chili peppers do, It totally got rid of mine, and I no longer need any medicine for it.

About diet. Its never good to totally restrict anything, but you must cut back. like fast food, is allowed 1x a week, small portion. Im lucky I do not like fried food, or very high fat foods, but those need to be cut very very far back. I do not eat more than 1-2 small servings of red meat a week. mostly skinnless chicken and salmon or other fish self marinated with some olive oil (a good fat) and my favortite spices, no taste sacrificed. I do not eat many white processed foods, meaning no white breads, rice, candy, sugard drinks, etc. I eat tons of fruit and veggies. about 6-7 servings a day. I eat cottage cheese and yougurt, not much cheese anymore. Reduce your salt intake, that is not one of the spices I normally use to cook with. Replace white brad and rice, with whole wheat and brown rice, and white pasta with whole wheat. sometimes they need a little extra seasoning, but the change over is not bad. I didnt do it for weight, but for better all around health, and to even out blood sugar. it worked.
eat say 5-6 smaller meals rather than 3-4 huge meals. dont eat much late at night, that is when the weight adds on. try small amounts of sugar free candy if you need it. if you want the real thing 1 oz of dark chocolate every few days is ok. but you need to learn what 1 portion really is. the first week you will feel hungry.

you also need to start with some mild exersice. as a person with Lupus, doing during the middle of the heat of the day is a no no. so very early morning, dusk or at night, start with walking 1 block, and add 1 block a week. before you know it, you will be able to do more and more.

I with a few others own a lupus/autoimmune support group online in yahoo groups. your more than welcome to come check us out, we do cover topics like this as well as many others. Ill put the link at the end. we are a very talkitive group, and active. your welcome to check us out, we can have about 2,000-3,000+ message posts a month. we have health files, general talk, and fun, and several of us are researchers in autoimmune diseases. we can help with other info there. I also know a couple have also been diagnosed with COPD
good luck
